Search Engine Trivia
Presented by Google — an evening testing what Hill Staffers and DC pros actually know about the world's most-used search engine.

What Happened
Hill Staffers and DC pros braved a classic DC thunderstorm to join CNCT for Search Engine Trivia, presented by Google. Greeted by a Google-branded ice cream truck, attendees packed into Union Pub to test how well they know their search engines— covering everything from Google's original 1996 name, "Backrub," to the "do a barrel roll" trick built into the search bar. Questions also touched on Google's Dugout activation at the Congressional Baseball Game and the AI tools Congressional offices can access through the Senate Sergeant at Arms and House Information Resources. A bonus round even had teams using Gemini to redecorate their Congressional office for a shot at an extra prize.
