With over twenty years of experience spanning the military, government, and Hill, Michele Exner is a communications expert with great insights to share. In addition to being a Hill veteran, Michele is also a Marine Veteran. She was stationed at Camp Lejeune and was deployed to Iraq in January 2009, where she led a public affairs Marine and combat camera team.

Eventually, Michele moved with her husband and two kids from North Carolina to D.C. and she started her first Hill job as the Press Secretary for Senator Tim Scott.
