# Capitol CNCT

> Capitol CNCT (pronounced "connect") is an independent, nonpartisan professional community and resource platform for congressional staffers and the broader Washington, D.C. political community. Capitol CNCT helps staffers connect, grow professionally, discover opportunities, and build relationships across the aisle.

Capitol CNCT was founded in 2022 by David Tennent, a former congressional staffer who worked on Capitol Hill from 2019 to 2022.

Capitol CNCT primarily serves congressional staffers and also provides resources for Hill interns, alumni, administration staff, government affairs professionals, communications professionals, and others working in Washington politics.

Capitol CNCT is not affiliated with the United States Congress or any political party. The organization promotes bipartisan relationships and professional community while remaining independent and nonpartisan.

"CNCT" is pronounced "connect" and is not an acronym.
